Newcomb Lab

In our lab, we are interested in understanding the physiological mechanisms underlying behavior. We study invertebrate animals, primarily nudibranchs, to take advantage of their relatively simple nervous systems and large neurons. This enables us to address fundamental questions that would be more difficult, or currently impossible, to tackle in more complicated systems such as mammals.
