We created this "New Ways of Working" Microcommunity as a way to connect with other researchers, practitioners, and others interested in learning more about new ways of working.
Dr. Ann Sophie Lauterbach
Dr Ann Sophie Lauterbach is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Organization and Management at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany. As a researcher in evidence-based workplace design, she helps organizations redesign their working environments, bringing an eye for detail and an understanding of the interpersonal challenges involved in change processes. Her work on healthy and inclusive workplaces is guided by findings from organizational psychology and management research and she emphasises the importance of close collaboration between research and practice.
Amelie Marie Fischer
Amelie Marie Fischer is a doctoral researcher in Organizational Behavior at the University of Konstanz and a consultant specializing in organizational culture and office transformation. As an engaged scholar at the Future of Work Lab, she studies hybrid work practices and future-proof work environments. Her work integrates rigorous academic analysis with practical experience in politics, SMEs, and consulting. She is committed to bridging research and practice to dismantle dysfunctional organizational patterns and enable new forms of collaboration in both physical and virtual spaces.
Dr. Afshan Iqbal
Dr Afshan Iqbal, PhD, CPsychol is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and holds a PhD in Organisational Behaviour and Management from Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds. Her primary research interests are grounded in the context of remote and hybrid work arrangements, focusing on the intersections of people and technology in the workplace and the implications on employee wellbeing (i.e. technostress, hyper connectivity, work-life balance and work-family conflict). Afshan is currently a Behavioural Scientist at the University of Manchester, exploring thriving and resilience in the workplace.
Dr. Tobias Blay
Dr Tobias Blay is currently an Assistant Professor for Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior at the University of Goettingen, Germany. He served as Visiting Fellow at London School of Economics, UK, and Cornell University, USA. His research focuses on human resource management and organizational behavior, with a special interest in virtual work (e.g., virtual teams). Additionally, he is interested in researching the global facets of work, international work arrangements, and future work trends in these areas. His research has been published in outlets such as the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Journal of International Business Studies. He is a Special Issue editor for Human Resource Management (Wiley). For his dissertation, he received the Schmalenbach Award. He is the principal investigator of a Scientific Network on 'global virtual work', funded by the DFG (German Research Foundation).
