Empowering Rwamwanja Refugee Women and Youth through Digital Literacy
New Light of Youth (NLOY) is a community-based organization founded in 2023.
Our mission: To tackle digital illiteracy among women and youth in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement.
We aim to bridge communication gaps between organizations individuals and enterprises within and outside Uganda.
Digital Literacy Training: We offer comprehensive digital literacy courses tailored for women and youth in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement and we have already taught 23 people in kaihora zone and 19 youths
Skill Development: Our programs cover basic computer skills, internet usage, and software applications to empower individuals for future opportunities.
Community Engagement: We foster a supportive learning environment through community involvement and peer-to-peer mentoring.
Our Hands-On Workshops: We conduct interactive workshops using accessible technology to ensure practical learning experiences.
Our curriculum is designed to meet the specific needs and challenges faced by refugees, promoting inclusive education.
