Uphold the laws of the state with honor, courage, and fidelity
Enforce the law impartially and without bias
Impartiality: Treat all individuals equally, regardless of race, gender, religion, or social status.
Honesty: Never falsify reports, evidence, or testimony.
Professionalism: Maintain a respectful and calm demeanor in every interaction.
Accountability: Admit and report mistakes. Do not cover up misconduct.
Confidentiality: Protect sensitive information related to investigations and public safet
The New Jersey State Police enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy for:
Corruption or Bribery
Use of Excessive Force
Discrimination or Harassment
Substance Abuse while on duty
Retaliation against whistleblowers
