GVRO Education

California's Gun Violence Restraining Order (GVRO) is an important civil order that removes (and prohibits puchasing of) firearms and ammunition by people who are a threat to themselves or others. NeverAgainCA is the creator of the GVRprO program, which encourages Californians to learn about GVROs, how to obtain one, and what it can do. Contact your local gun violence prevention agency to find a GVRprO presentation near you. An updated online version of the GVRprO presentation will be available later this year. For police officers, judges, and attorneys looking to learn about GVROs, please contact San Diego City Attorney Mara W. Elliott.

Certification

NeverAgainCA's award-winning GVRO training course was developed in collaboration with Speak For Safety and will become available online later this year. NeverAgainCA Members who take the course and pass the final exam (^70%) are eligible to recieve a certificate. A Google account may be required to take the course.
