November 17/30, 1907
To Prof. G. Peano in Turin, Italy
Esteemed Sir!
The five-year term of the current director of the International Academy of the Universal Language, Reverend M. A. F. Holmes in Macedon, N.Y., ends in May 1908.
Because you have provided a good critique of Idiom Neutral, the result of the Academy's work, I have the honor to ask you, esteemed sir, to let me know whether you would accept a potential election as director of the named institute. Without a doubt, you are familiar with its statutes; nevertheless, I am sending them to you and ask you to observe that the Academy is completely free in its work, i.e., the Academy's work is not limited (whereas the Permanent Commission of the CommitteeA of the Delegation unfortunately received limiting instructions).
Hoping to receive a positive response soon, I remain with respectful greetings,
Your most devoted servant,
Rosenberger
