Personalized coaching built around your goals and life.
The Neu Rhythm Running Philosophy: Data, Durability, & Direction.
I believe in toughness, but I completely reject inflexibility. A rigid, one-size-fits-all training plan is the fastest way for a runner with a real life, a demanding schedule, and serious goals to end up burnt out, injured, or stuck.
My coaching philosophy is built around helping you train hard enough to improve, smart enough to stay healthy, and specifically enough to show up ready when it matters.
I focus on three key pillars:
Data-Guided Training: Your plan is built around your current fitness, race goals, schedule, and real-time feedback. By tracking metrics like pace, heart rate, effort, and recovery history, I ensure every single run has a clear role. The goal isn’t to chase random hard workouts; it’s to build the right fitness at the right time.
Built-In Durability: Progress occurs when your body can sustainably handle the training load. I prioritize smart progression and sustainable volume management so you can build fitness consistently and avoid the cycle of setbacks that holds so many runners back.
Strategic Direction: You don’t just get a spreadsheet. You get a clear roadmap that connects each phase of training to your larger goal. From training structure and pacing strategy to tapering and race-day execution, every decision is made with your end goal in mind.
From DNF to a 2:48 Boston Finish
I didn't run track or cross country in middle school, high school, or college. Like many runners, I came to the sport later in life and had to learn through years of trial and error.
I dealt with inconsistent training, setbacks, injuries, and even a DNF in my first marathon attempt. Through studying endurance training, refining my approach, and building consistency over time, I eventually progressed from that first DNF to a 2:48:34 finish at the Boston Marathon.
Outside of my own training, I spent over five years working in run specialty at Fleet Feet. That time allowed me to deeply learn the shoe market and gain extensive experience helping hundreds of local athletes solve real-world running issues and find the right footwear.
That journey taught me something important: most runners don't fail because they lack motivation. They struggle because they're trying to balance ambitious goals with work, family, recovery, injuries, and the realities of everyday life.
As a UESCA Certified Running Coach, I help runners navigate those challenges with a personalized plan, clear direction, and ongoing support. My goal is to help you train consistently, avoid common mistakes, and make steady progress toward your goals without unnecessary guesswork.
Whether you're preparing for your first race, chasing a personal best, or working toward a Boston Qualifier, my coaching is designed to meet you where you are and help you take the next step forward with confidence.

How Coaching Works
All coaching is delivered through a shared Google Sheets training log. This serves as our central workspace for training, workout feedback, communication, and plan adjustments. Email remains available for questions, scheduling changes, and additional support between coaching calls.
Performance: Training is delivered in biweekly coaching blocks. Adjustments can be made throughout the block as needed, while larger training updates occur every two weeks.
Premium: Training is structured around a weekly coaching cycle, allowing for more frequent adjustments, feedback, and refinement of upcoming training.
Peak: Training follows the same weekly coaching cycle as Premium, with additional coach access, weekly coaching calls, priority support, and a limited athlete roster to provide the highest level of communication and accountability.
The more consistent and honest you are with your training log, the better I can tailor your coaching moving forward. Regular feedback helps ensure your training reflects what is actually happening rather than what was planned on paper.
All coaching plans are billed monthly and renew automatically every 30 days until canceled.
There are no long-term contracts, and you can cancel or change tiers at any time. Coaching continues through the end of your active billing period.
I’m committed to building a strong coaching relationship based on trust, communication, and steady progress. If, within your first 30 days, you feel the program is not the right fit, I will refund your coaching fee. Third-party processing fees are non-refundable.
“Over the years, I’ve started and stopped running more times than I can count. I would train hard for a while, get injured, and then lose momentum. As a woman in my 30s, I’ve become more aware of how important it is to approach fitness in a way that’s sustainable, and not just pushing harder every time I restart.
I shared my full history and patterns with Scott, and he used that insight to create a plan that actually works for me long term. Without his coaching, I don’t think I would have ever fully understood why I kept ending up burnt out or injured.
Now, I am more consistent with running than I’ve ever been. The best part is that I’m not constantly sore, hurting, or overdoing it, and yet I’m seeing more progress and improvement than I ever have before. Scott encouraged me to trust the process, and I’m so glad I did.
My 5K time ended up being faster than I even expected, but more importantly, I kept running consistently after the race was over. For any new clients, I’d encourage you to be as open and honest as possible about your goals and your history. That’s what allows Scott to truly tailor a plan to you.”

Not at all. I work with runners of all paces. What matters most is your commitment to the process. Whether you are aiming for your first marathon or chasing a 20-minute PR, the training is built around your current fitness. You don’t need to be fast to start; you just need a goal you’re ready to work for.
No. I coach runners from the 5K to the marathon. While marathon development is a particular area of interest and strength for me, the same principles of structure, consistency, and smart progression apply across distances.
No. All coaching plans are month-to-month, and you can cancel at any time. While I generally recommend giving the process enough time to build rhythm and make meaningful progress, you are never locked into a long-term contract.
Neu Rhythm Running is a fully online coaching service. This gives you the flexibility to train on your own schedule while still receiving individualized structure, feedback, and support. We stay connected through your training log, email, and scheduled calls depending on your plan tier. You get coaching built around your actual training without the scheduling headaches of in-person sessions.
Recovery always comes first. One of my coaching pillars is Durability, building a body that can handle the load. If life happens or a niggle pops up, we pivot immediately. In the PR and BQ tiers, I use your feedback and training data to spot possible warning signs early and adjust before small issues derail the block.
Generic plans can't hear how you're feeling, see how your heart rate responded to the heat, or modify your schedule when life happens. I provide a fully adaptive plan that adjusts based on your actual data and life stressors. You get a coach who has walked the path from a frustrating DNF to a 2:48 marathon, giving you the human context, strategy, and confidence that an app simply can't provide.
