Peacefully nestled amidst glorious rolling countryside, Netherton Farm Cottages enjoy a wonderfully secluded setting just three miles from the breathtaking North Devon coast.

Here, you really can escape from it all. Surrounded by open countryside, sweeping views and complete tranquillity, yet only three minutes’ drive from the A39 Atlantic Highway, the cottages provide an ideal base for exploring both North Devon and into North Cornwall.

The picturesque village of Hartland is just a leisurely 25-minute walk away, with a post office, café, two well-stocked village shops, a fish and chip shop and three popular, dog-friendly pubs serving good food.

With no through traffic and little to disturb the peace, Netherton Farm offers a rare combination of seclusion, beautiful countryside and easy access to the coast. As evening falls, the tranquillity continues, with wonderfully dark skies revealing a mesmerising display of stars.

Located on our farm with horses, donkeys, sheep, chickens and ducks within the rugged Hartland Peninsula, Netherton is the ideal base to explore this unspoiled area of North Devon, North Cornwall and the South West Coast Path.

Being situated in one of North Devon’s finest rural and coastal areas, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, our cottages are the perfect retreat for those who enjoy walking, cycling, photography, star-gazing, nature spotting, unspoiled beaches and also wish to bring their four legged friends along too.

Set 12 minutes drive from Clovelly fishing village, 20 minutes from Appledore, Westward Ho! Bideford Town and The Tarka Trail, and 25 minutes from the broad sandy beaches in Bude.

Guests can enjoy the elevated view through the juiliette balconies from the first floor lounge of the animals in our fields, and far reaching over the adjoining countryside beyond. Why not relax with a coffee and lazily watch the donkeys playing together, sheep grazing, the toing and froing of the horses or watch the buzzards soaring above. And in the evening sit back with a glass of wine and admire the grandstand view of the sunset.
