Bio: Addie Armstrong is an 11 year member of the NESMAA and is currently an assistant professor of mathematics at Norwich University. She enjoys doing research in combinatorics, teaching students at all levels, and talking with colleagues (and everyone) about math and teaching. Addie has served the Northeastern section as the coordinator for the annual Student Problem Solving Competition since 2017 and worked on various planning committees for MAA section meetings, including the Spring 2017 meeting at Norwich, and the virtual Fall 2020 meeting. Outside the MAA, she is a coordinator of the Norwich Integration Bee, and serves as chair of the Norwich Institutional Review Board.
Bio: Shannon Lockard is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, MA, where she has been teaching since 2007. She does research in enumerative combinatorics and has mentored several students in undergraduate research projects in combinatorics and graph theory. Teaching and working with students is truly the best part of her job as a professor. Shannon has enjoyed getting to know colleagues from other institutions in the Northeast Section of the MAA through attending several Sectional meetings. She has been the Contributed Papers Coordinator for the NES/MAA since Fall 2013 and was part of the Program Committee for the Fall Sectional meeting at BSU in 2012. She has also co-coordinated several MAA Invited and Themed Contributed Paper Sessions for the Joint Mathematics Meetings.
Bio: Jason Molitierno has taught at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT for the past 20 years. He has been serving as the department chair for the past ten years. Jason has served many roles in the Northeastern Section. He was vice chair of the section 2006-2007, chair of the section 2007-2009, past chair 2009-2011, Section NExT coordinator 2011-2015, and governor/section representative 2015-2018. He has also served on many section committees such as the Teaching Award Committee and various program, local arrangements, and nominating committees. He chaired the local arrangements committee in 2017 when the section meeting was held at Sacred Heart University. On the national level, Jason served on the Committee on Sections 2011-2017 and on the Council on Members and Communities 2017-2019. He was awarded the MAA Award for Meritorious Service in 2017. Jason has been serving as Secretary/Treasurer of the section since 2018.
Bio: June Stankiewicz Decker is professor of mathematics at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich Connecticut. Before community college, she taught high school for 10 years. One of her accomplishments was co-authoring the State of Connecticut State Department of Education's Core Curriculum for Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Psychology from Harvard College, certification to teach 7-12 math in CT at Connecticut State University, and a Master's degree in Mathematics from University of Connecticut. She has been active in Connecticut Community College state-wide committees and organizations, and the AFT union. She enjoys continually learning how to be a better math educator and advisor to students.
