To enter the secondary market you will need A TMS account.
You will need to go to a broker first. Choose a good broker with good customer service. In and Out of the valley, there are 50 brokers to choose from. There is also a survey done on brokers by Reddit users which you could check out to help make your choice.
A broker is needed to sell your shares.
The TMS only has two options of payment - connectIPS and GlobalIME. It would be easier to have GlobalIME as you would not need to pay for the service of connectIPS. Some banks allow self-verification for the service of connectIPS.

Collateral is the amount of money that you should have to act as a security to do online trading. It is 25% of the total amount of trading you are going to trade. For example, collateral of 2500/- lets you trade shares up to 10,000/-.

Amount higher than Rs. 1,00,00,000 - 0.27% broker commission
When buying shares, all amount has to be paid by T+2 days. Shares will then be credited within 4 days by the broker, if not, call them.
When selling shares, you must have done EDIS by T+2 days or else there is a 20% closeout penalty. You should receive the amount around after one week, if not, call them.
From 16 July 2021 for individual investors, capital gains tax on shares held less than one year are subject to 7.5% while for more than one year is 5%.
For institutional investors, they must pay 10%.
The adjusted closing price amends a stock's closing price to reflect that stock's value after accounting for any corporate actions such as the listing of bonus shares in the market.
