Welcome to Neighborhood Growth Collaborative
Hi there, I’m Cynthia—your guide, fellow human, and sometimes cheerleader on this wild ride we call growth. Picture this: You walk into our space (or log on, if virtual’s more your speed), and instead of sterile walls and awkward silence, you’re met with the cozy vibe of your friend’s living room. There’s probably a plant thriving against all odds in the corner, a playlist of soothing tunes (or upbeat jams, depending on the day), and zero pressure to be anything but you.
Why NGC Feels Different
No stuffy “clinical” energy – Just real talk, Southern warmth (yes, I say “y’all”), and the occasional terrible metaphor that somehow makes sense.
Your quirks welcome here – ADHD brain bouncing between topics? Trauma making trust hard? Perfect. We work with your wiring, not against it.
Think “creative collaborator” more than “blank-slate therapist” – I’ll hit you with fresh perspectives (and maybe a relevant meme).
What to Expect
First sessions that feel like catching up over coffee (virtually or in-person)
Tools that actually fit your life – No generic coping skills that gather dust
A community of folks who “get it” – Through groups, classes, or just shared eye-rolls at life’s chaos
For the Skeptics
No toxic positivity – Some days we laugh, some we cuss (safely), all are valid.
Proof, not promises – Check out our Testimonials from real people.

Meet the Founder, Cynthia
Originally from North Carolina, I moved to New England for college and quickly fell in love with the region, deciding to make it my permanent home. I bring fresh perspectives and vibrant energy to the community, enriching it with my passion for growth and development. A true dreamer, I’m constantly working on new projects and goals, driven by a deep desire to grow personally and help others do the same.
With extensive experience in clinical, skill-based therapy, my career has included roles in group homes for children with severe psychosis, as an in-home family therapist, as a supervisor for an intensive therapeutic program, and in private practice with individuals, couples, and families. I focus on integrating growth into everyday life to make personal goal achievement more accessible. Art, music, and social media are tools I frequently use to help clients understand, express, and develop themselves.
Outside of my professional life, I’m a passionate reader and enjoy writing, painting, sewing, crafting, and shopping. If I’m not reading, I’m likely listening to music or cooking. I view food not just as sustenance but as an experience that brings people together in meaningful ways.

Why I Created NGC
I founded Neighborhood Growth Collaborative (NGC) after recognizing a significant gap in mental health and well-being services. Traditional approaches often overlook key aspects such as independent life skills classes, parent support groups, and comprehensive resource management for both clients and helping professionals. These essential services are crucial for holistic development and long-term well-being, yet they are frequently ignored in conventional mental health care settings.
As someone with years of experience in the field, I wanted to build a practice that addresses these unmet needs. My vision for NGC was to create a place where helping professionals could be real people with genuine personalities and lives. This meant fostering an environment where therapists maintain appropriate privacy while also being relatable to their clients.
NGC is committed to holistic life satisfaction—not only for clients but for clinicians as well. By offering a supportive and nurturing environment, I strive to help clinicians find a fulfilling and sustainable professional home. This commitment extends beyond insurance-covered services, providing affordable out-of-pocket options so that everyone has access to the care they need, regardless of their budget.
I am passionate about helping others in a way that promotes long-term support without leading to professional burnout. When therapists and helping professionals are well-supported and fulfilled, they can offer better, more enduring support to their clients. This philosophy is at the heart of Neighborhood Growth Collaborative, making it a place where growth, understanding, and holistic well-being are paramount.
Through NGC, I have created a unique and inclusive space that goes beyond traditional therapy. Here, individuals can access a wide range of services, from therapy to support groups, life skills classes, and more—all within a community that values realness, relatability, and comprehensive support.
