New England Hydric Soil Technical Committee

Welcome to the New England Hydric Soil Technical Committee (NEHSTC) website - we have completed Version 4 of the Field Indicators for Identifying Hydric Soils in New England - this version supersedes older versions of the Indicators and is approved for use in New England (Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island). We are releasing this version as a working copy for wetland and soil scientists to use in the field for wetland ID and delineation. We plan to publish a copy through the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission in the spring of 2018. Please send any errors, comments, or suggestions to: jim.turenne@ri.usda.gov
