中・高等学校交渉

コンペティションとは

　高等学校学習指導要領「公民」では、合意形成や社会参画が強く求められています。これは、中学校学習指導要領「社会」においても同様です。中学校学習指導要領「社会」では、「対立と合意」という社会的な見方・考え方を働かせて社会的事象について考察することとなっています。

　学習指導要領の記述を踏まえて、紛争解決や合意形成する力を育成するためには、アメリカ全土のロースクールでほぼ必修科目となりつつある交渉学の考え方や技能を中高生の段階から身に付けることが重要です。

　中・高等学校交渉コンペティションは、上記のような問題意識から2017年に発足しました。

　中・高等学校交渉コンペティションは、法学・教育学の研究者、高等学校の教員が連携して大会を企画・運営しています。

The Junior/Senior High School Negotiation Competition

     The High School Curriculum Guidelines for “Civics” strongly emphasize consensus building and social participation. This is also true for the Middle School Curriculum Guidelines for “Social Studies.” The Middle School Curriculum Guidelines for “Social Studies” require students to examine social phenomena by applying the social perspective and concept of “conflict and consensus.”

　To cultivate conflict resolution and consensus-building skills in line with these curriculum guidelines, it is crucial for middle and high school students to acquire the concepts and skills of negotiation studies—a subject becoming nearly mandatory across U.S. law schools.

    The Middle and High School Negotiation Competition was launched in 2017 based on this awareness.

　The Middle and High School Negotiation Competition is planned and operated through collaboration between researchers in law and education, and high school teachers.
