THE VILLAGE

The village is a project I started based on village of my grandfather. Through the years I have photographed corners I explored there, it's time for all the pieces to come together, to create a whole world. In "The village" I aim to create a metaverse space based on parts of our family village, which is located in the middle of deserts of Iran.

I believe in immortalizing places. Observing my family's old house falling apart (just like any other old build of the village) was a unexpected pain I once felt. This pain was because I heard so many details about a place my family used to call home and now with disappearance of that place, it's almost like all the stories are gone. All the images, the memories are lost in the air, ready to be forgotten. I want to try to catch them, little by little.
