Assignment Description

For this assignment, me and a partner were tasked with researching two different countries and comparing their similarities and differences in a multitude of factors.  I chose Germany and my partner chose the Dominican Republic.

I did not realize just how large of a country Germany is, it is the second most populated country in Europe along with having the largest software market and accounting for a large percentage of European tourism.  I also realized that although the two countries seem very, very different at surface value, there are some similarities between them such as tourism and immigration value that I did not expect.

Lessons Learned

I learned many interesting things about both countries that I was not aware of and got to see some insight into my partner's life as he is from the Dominican Republic.  We collaborated very well, helping each other find information about our countries and ultimately sharing our documents with each other so that we could find similarities and differences together that one of us may not have noticed by ourselves.  Overall we worked very well together and this project helped further my use of word processing software and presentation software.
