Portable water purifier using dry drumstick seeds, 2014
This study examines the use of grounded dry drumstick (Moringa oleifera) seeds as an adsorbent to treat wastewater from natural water bodies. The seeds effectively reduce turbidity by adsorbing suspended particles. This eco-friendly, low-cost method provides rapid water clarification. It offers a sustainable solution for wastewater treatment, especially in rural areas.
FRET BASED FLUORESCENCE DETECTION OF CHLORPYRIFOS, 2016
We successfully developed FRET based fluorescence sensing strategy for chlorpyrifos detection. The detection limit was found to be 25 μM. The above sensor solution showed high selectivity towards chlorpyrifos against many of the common organic molecules. Initially the FRET between CdTe QDs and Au-nano particle is established which led to the quenching of fluorescence emission of CdTe QDs and subsequent recovery is observed by the chlorpyrifos.
STUDIES ON NaCl PARTICLE TEMPLATING METHOD FOR THE PROCESSING OF MICROCELLULAR ALUMINA CERAMICS, 2017
The study investigates the processing of porous alumina using sodium chloride (NaCl) as a sacrificial template. A paste of NaCl-alumina powder and sucrose was hot-blended, set in a mold at 160°C, and pressed. The paste set through sucrose caramelization, catalyzed by alumina and NaCl. After carbonization, salt was removed by water extraction to prevent disintegration. Carbon burnout and sintering produced porous ceramics.
