The Certified Young Professional Achievement is an accomplishment organized by the Young Professional Committee co-chairs and liaisons. The purpose of this achievement is to provide individuals the opportunity to better themselves and become an example for other young professionals within the Northeast.
In order to receive the achievement there are several key steps that must be completed. While these may be difficult for some, they are obtainable by everyone in the Young Professionals Committee, airport employee and consultant alike. The steps to obtain the achievement are listed below:
Active involvement in the Young Professionals Committee monthly calls.
Active involvement in a planning committee for a Northeast Chapter conference.
Work with an accredited mentor from the Northeast Chapter for at least one (1) year.
Become a Certified Member (C.M.) of the A.A.A.E.
Attend at least one (1) Northeast Chapter conference and one (1) National AAAE conference.
When the achievement is accomplished, the Certified Young Professional will be awarded a certificate and acknowledged by the Northeast Chapter President and the Northeast Chapter Executive Committee.
The Certified Young Professional will also receive one (1) free registration to a Northeast Chapter conference of their choosing. Completing this achievement will allow young professionals to bolster their resumes as a Certified Young Professional.
As of May 2024 the NEC Certified Young Professional program is not taking any new registrants. The National AAAE Organization now offers a version of this for all AAAE Young professionals.
