I had a great experience creating a developmentally appropriate lesson plan and using the knowledge I have gained from experience working in the field, and from this class's readings and assignments. This is my first time creating a google sites website. Creating a google site was time-consuming, and I learned as I created the website. Learning how to create google sites has added to my professionalism. I like how I can see my knowledge, growth, and skills implemented into different activities and put all the activities together in a Google site. Although creating the google site was time-consuming, this assignment was also fun, because I was able to be creative, and fix my google site to the best of my abilities.
The only task I disliked about the google site was adjusting the format because I would edit sections, and when I preview my site, the format would be off. I enjoyed going into the center doing observations of the children and watching teachers work with their students. I have learned some do's and don'ts when working with young children. I also got a chance to witness how if a professional brings outside problems into the workplace, especially working with young children, it affects the environment as well as the students. I noticed how it negatively impacts students' behaviors. Reflecting on my observations, and my experience at my field site, I jotted down notes on some things that I can do moving forward as a professional. This experience was well needed, and beneficial to my teachings and my learning.
