Hello Everyone,
My focus is a group of toddler children ages 15 through 34 months at the Center I did my fieldwork hours. There are eight children in this toddler classroom and two teachers. The students in the classroom are from low-income families. A minority of the students in the classroom are African American students. I chose the toddler classroom because I love working with this age rank of students. Also, I love working with low-income students. I love working with low-income students because when I was growing up, I was a part of a low-income community. I feel like growing up in a low-income community I didn’t have the best educational experiences.
Everything I wasn’t given, I want to provide to these toddler students. Also, working in Child Care I noticed low-income communities have a shortage of teachers, and some teachers don’t prefer to work in low-income communities, and low-income schools. All of our children deserve the best educators as possible, even the students who fall in the category of “low-income Follow me, as I show you guys what I have gained from my experiences with this fieldwork, and how as an educator I would implement activities to foster the needs of the students based on my notes and observations.
