Active Hope:
Embodied Resilience
with Katherine Jenkins
Wednesdays 1:30–3:00pm CDT
The Active Hope: Embodied Resilience online gatherings are designed to support you in actively holding hope and building resilience, for yourself and for your community. I am offering these gatherings because I know how supportive this space can be for people, and I know how supportive these practices have been for myself. The upheaval and continuation of the coronavirus pandemic and safer-at-home order impacts us physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. We embody this experience in varied ways and simultaneously need practices and tools for moving through this in healthy, new ways. What I offer is a safe, structured space for people to come together to share and witness as we speak our love for and concern for what is happening in today’s world and how it impacts us.
In the words of Joanna Macy, from her book Coming Back to Life, “The most remarkable feature of this historical moment on Earth is not that we are on the way to destroying the world—we’ve actually been on the way quite a while. It is that we are beginning to wake up, as from a millennia-long sleep, to a whole new relationship to our world, to ourselves and to each other.” Please join together in the Active Hope: Embodied Resilience gatherings. I look forward to seeing you. —Katherine
