Corporal Harshil Rohit
REPUBLIC DAY CAMP 2025
The Republic Day Camp (RDC) is the most prestigious camp in the tenure of NCC, and every cadet dreams of being a part of it. I was privileged to be a part of RDC 2025 in the Gujarat contingent, participating in the PM Rally and the Youth Exchange Program (YEP).
The selection at the battalion level took place at BN Headquarters. Initially, I participated in the Best Cadet event, where I underwent an interview and a writing test. Successfully clearing this stage, I moved forward to the Inter-Battalion Competition (IBC) at Rajpipla from August 9 to August 19, 2024. After clearing IBC, I represented my group in the Inter-Group Competition at Ahmedabad from September 9 to September 19.Pre-RDC commenced on November 27, lasting for a month. The official inauguration of the camp took place on December 30 with the Sarva Dharma Puja, where I had the opportunity to interact with DG NCC Lt. General Gurbir Pal Singh PVSM AVSM. I had the honour of meeting esteemed dignitaries, including Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Admiral DK Tripathi, General Upendra Dwivedi and General Anil Chauhan.
Reflecting on this journey, RDC was a rollercoaster of emotions, challenges, and achievements. It was a journey filled with rejections and successes, forming lifelong friendships, and gaining invaluable learnings. I am deeply grateful to my batchmates, seniors, and everyone who supported me throughout this journey. RDC 2025 will forever be one of the best experiences of my life.
The Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) is an initiative by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) aimed at promoting national integration and cultural harmony among youth from diverse regions of India. SNIC, Srinagar 2024, was an unforgettable journey from 19 to June 30th, 2024, filled with lessons, growth, and amazing experiences. Cadet Aditya Gambhir from our college represented NCC SVNIT in this Camp along with the other Cadets of 5 Gujarat Battalion NCC Surat.
One of the early highlights was the MMGG Parade (Mandir, Masjid, Gurudwara, Gompa), where cadets in traditional attire represented various religions, promoting secularism and unity.
