About the Department

The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 1999. It offers B.Tech (Information Technology) UG Programme since 1999 and M.E. (Computer Science and Information Security) PG Programme since 2014. It has the theme area as Data Analytics. It has six laboratories including Motorola sponsored Enterprise Mobility lab. It has various Special Interest Groups (SIGs) like Data Engineering, Distributed Systems, Mobile Technologies, and Information Security and Management. Each SIG sets their objectives towards the cutting-edge technologies in its activities like Curriculum Design, Research and Development, Industry Institute Interaction, and societal related projects.

The conference aims at promoting high quality research by bringing together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry. It is a national forum to communicate and discuss various research findings and innovations in the areas including big data analytics, mobile communication and mobile applications, distributed systems and information security
