Dr. Michelle Tuck Thomas

Dr. Michelle Tuck Thomas is a member of the Beta Kappa Chapter and serves on the NCDKG Planning Committee. She completed her undergraduate studies at North Carolina Central University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Middle Grades Education. Additionally she received a Master of School Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and ultimately her doctorate from High Point University.

Dr. Tuck Thomas is married, has one adult daughter, and lives in Roxboro, NC. She and her husband are also the guardian for her brother-in-law. She is employed with Durham Public Schools as the Testing and Accountability Specialist and is actively involved with the Parent Teacher Student Association at The School for Creative Studies.

Dr. Tuck Thomas has served in various roles as at her church, Hyco Zion Baptist. As a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, Dr. Tuck Thomas has performed duties as the Corresponding Secretary for The Roxboro Alumnae Chapter and as a member of the South Atlantic Regional Technology Team. She enjoys cooking, traveling, shopping, watching TV and spending time with her family.

She often tells people that she comes up with pretty good ideas every now and then and when she does, they are fabulous! Always a mediator, Dr. Tuck Thomas looks for ways to bridge the impossible with IT IS POSSIBLE! If you are looking for someone to help you brainstorm solutions or plan a creative project, then she may be the person to contact. Dr. Tuck Thomas stands ready to assist chapters in Region V.
