AI in the Arts:
A Roundtable for Educators
Let's demystify AI together! Join us for a lively and informal discussion about integrating artificial intelligence into your Art, Theatre, and Music Appreciation courses. This isn't a lecture—it's a chance to connect with fellow educators and share what's working, what's not, and what's next.
Have you built a project with an AI tool? We want to see it! Bring your examples, questions, and experiences to this open forum. Our goal is to inspire and empower one another as we explore the exciting, and sometimes challenging, frontier of AI in the arts. Come ready to share, learn, and collaborate in a supportive environment.
Join Paul Farmer, full-time art faculty at Mitchell Community College, for a virtual Muse & Munch session continuing the conversation from the 2025 AFA Association Conference. This focused session will delve into the ethical considerations and practical applications of AI software within art and design courses. Discover strategies for responsible integration, explore potential pitfalls, and learn how to leverage this technology to enhance student learning while upholding academic integrity. This is a valuable opportunity for educators seeking to navigate the evolving landscape of AI in creative education.
Join us for a virtual discussion on AFA-BFA Transfer. This session will be led by the University of North Carolina System Office, Transfer Programs Coordinator, Jami Dawkins. During this virtual session participants will learn more about the newly developed Transfer Guides and get a glimpse into the future of these resources for AFA-BFA students.
Thank you for joining us as we explore ways to create a sense of belonging and engagement in the classroom! This virtual session was hosted by Wake Tech Community College's Lauren La May and participants are invited to listen in, and to share ways that they are tackling this topic at their own institution.
