Safety is most important. While we can't prevent every skinned knee or bruise, we are doing our best to provide a safe experience for our youth. Wherever possible, we have incorporated the safety guidelines from safety.churchofjesuschrist.org.
Adult Supervision: We currently have four adult leaders planning to attend the entirely of camp. With only 12-14 boys expected to attend, we have a great adult/youth ratio. These adult leaders have up to date information in the Tools app and can be contacted via mobile phone as needed throughout camp.
Bishop Michael Calta, Mark Jensen, Alec Goldie, Tucker Williams, David Colson, Will Averett
Additionally:
Each adult (parent, adult leader, etc.) will be required to have non-expired youth protection training. This can be completed here.
We will have a First Aid kit available for minor injuries. While adult leaders are not health care professionals, all of us have experience administering basic first aid as fathers, teachers, scouts, etc. We will notify parents of any injuries.
Hydration is paramount and we will be following up with each boy during each activity reminding them to drink . Each boy is required to have their own water bottle and there will be both water and electrolyte drinks available throughout all activities. During each meal, the boys will be asked to drink a water bottle's worth of water or electrolyte drink.
The buddy system will be employed. Each day each young man will have an assigned buddy.
Each activity will have a corresponding safety plan. The safety plan will be reviewed with participants in the weeks leading up to camp and immediately before each activity starts. The safety plans for all activities can be seen below.
The closest medical facilities will be known to the adult leaders so that we can get help quickly in an emergency situation.

Seatbelts are REQUIRED at all times while in the vehicle
