Teaching for me is a process of learning. It helps me to understand the subject in a better way. After completing PhD I have decided to pursue academics in which both teaching and research will be essential parts. During my PhD tenure through years 2014 to 2019, I have done tutorship and teaching assignments on various courses of Mathematics, in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India.
I worked as a tutor for the Complex Analysis course with Prof. S. Ghorai in summer 2018. As a part of tutorship, I had to take one and half hour class each week in the semester where I had to make 30 students solve several assignments. While solving each problem, I would ensure to give my students a brief motivation behind the formulation of such problems. Such discussions would actually make them interested in the problems and in the subject as a whole.
I worked as a tutor for the Ordinary and Partial differential equations course with Prof. S. Ghorai in summer 2016.
Apart from the courses in Mathematics, I did a tutorship on Communication skills course with Prof. S. Mathur in Autumn semester, 2015. in which I had to encourage the students (25 in number) to do assignments on English texts which would strengthen their communication power. These are my teaching experiences during PhD tenure. Now I would discuss the plans that I have for my teaching in future.
In addition to these, I did grading of answer copies of semester exams of almost every subject of Mathematics including Algebra, Analysis, ODE, PDE and Mathematical modelling.
