Welcome to my travel blog! I'm Carter and I've lived most my life in the small town of Campbell River nestled on Vancouver Island, which is known as the Salmon capital of the world. Many people in my town are hipnecks, a hippie+redneck, including myself. I was lucky to receive the opportunity to travel a little bit, but I would still consider myself an amateur. I am striving to learn more about the world by traveling and studying history. My post-secondary experience consists of two years at North Island College, including a semester abroad in Spain. In the past three years I've been studying at the University of Victoria and I only have four more courses left before I receive a history degree. In between studying I've worked numerous odd jobs to save for traveling, which have brought me to South East Asia and Eastern Europe where I taught English in Romania in particular. My next trip to Latin America will be an upgraded adventure from what I've previously experienced and will be documented in my blog called "Navigations in Latin America."Â
