Navigating IslandWood

An on-the-ground guide through the trails and notable landmarks of IslandWood's core campus.

Lost at an intersection?

Trying to explain to someone how to get form Port Blakely Cemetery to Mac's Pond? Struggling to picture the Marsh Loop wild zone? The Navigating IslandWood website and Google Street View tour are for you! Start your orienteering journey here.

Note: IslandWood's Bainbridge Island campus is private property. All visitors and guests must check in at the Welcome Center before entering campus trails. Please visit the IslandWood official website for information on public tours and events or to book a private event.

Disclaimers: This project does not condone the use of unmaintained or closed trails without proper training and approval, especially on windy days. Also, during and after the wind and ice storms of December 2022, many trees on IslandWood's campus fell or were felled. Thus, some images on this site will no longer match reality if you reference trees as landmarks.

Finally, though I have linked all images properly on the Google Street View app, they are not all linked properly on Google Maps Street View. I have been sending feedback to Google about this, and I hope they are able to correct the weird photo sphere connections soon.
