I didn’t start my career in governance, but I’ve always believed in doing things the right way. Early on, I found my footing in IT service delivery, working hands-on with teams and technologies that powered essential operations. I led service desk environments supporting thousands of users, improved SLA performance through structured process improvements, and helped solve real-world problems at scale.
It was in these moments, where performance met accountability, that I discovered my passion for something deeper: the systems, policies, and standards that uphold trust and resilience behind the scenes.
Today, I’m a cybersecurity professional with a First Class Honors B.Sc. in Cybersecurity and certifications including Security+, CySA+, SSCP, and ITIL Foundations. My work focuses on bridging operational IT with risk governance, aligning security delivery with frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO/IEC 27001 to support regulatory compliance and business continuity.
Though I haven’t yet held a formal GRC title, I’m actively building toward that path—bringing a risk-informed lens to every role I take on. I’ve supported audit-aligned initiatives, contributed to access control remediation, and played a key role in preparing systems for compliance expectations.
What draws me to GRC is the connection between security and strategy—the opportunity to help organizations not only meet regulatory demands but truly align their operations with integrity and resilience.
I believe in simplifying the complex, making risk visible, and helping cross-functional teams understand the why behind compliance. I believe that true security doesn’t come from fear or policy enforcement, but from a culture of clarity, accountability, and trust.
My focus is on mid-level GRC, risk, and compliance roles, where I can continue to grow while contributing meaningful value. Long-term, I aspire to become an executive leader in cybersecurity and risk strategy—someone who can guide teams through evolving landscapes with confidence and clarity.
Accountability – Doing the right thing even when it’s inconvenient.
Clarity – Making complexity understandable and actionable.
Resilience – Planning for what’s next, not just reacting to what’s now.
Integrity – Aligning actions with values, consistently and transparently.
If you're hiring in GRC, looking for a collaborator in compliance or cyber risk, or simply want to swap ideas about building secure systems—I’d love to hear from you.
