'REPLACING FACE RECOGNITION TECHNOLOGY, NAVER CLOVA INTRODUCE THE ‘FaceSign’ PROJECT.'

JUNE 2022 - NAVER CLOVA AI Developers have decided to create a project that is based on the face recognition system concept. Facesign is a technology that uses facial recognition instead of other forms of verification.  As for the time being, This model is mainly only used for the Naver’s office gates as a tester.

The system's objective is to be able to recognize our employer's faces and verify their identity by simply scanning their faces before letting them in. We do want to introduce a payment system employing face recognition technology through the FaceSign project, allowing consumers to pay their bills simply by using the NAVER payment system. 

Additionally,  we take considerations regarding the privacy and safety of our user’s personal information through the feedback that we receive from our employees about our system. Hence, we take the initiative by applying the ‘Anti-spoofing’ program into our system. The finalized project will be released and available by the end of December 2024.
