The Nauvoo ERC Radio Club is a privately funded, public service organization. We are a group of FCC licensed radio operators, and support personnel, dedicated to providing emergency communications in the greater Nauvoo, Illinois area. We are an IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity and serve as the fiscal agent for the Hancock-Henderson County COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disasters). Our purpose is to provide emergency response communications training and information for residents in our service area; which includes Nauvoo, Macomb, Fort Madison, Burlington, Mount Pleasant, Keokuk, Quincy, and all towns in-between.
We also support the Nauvoo Emergency Communications Network (NEC) by facilitating reliable emergency communications between Nauvoo residents, and a connection to 911 services, when normal communication methods fail.
