Nature’s Wonderland Woodsmen
While much of the activities within Nature’s Wonderland are engaging for the guests, sometimes it’s nice to sit down and enjoy some entertainment and that is perfect for on the second floor is a theater hosting the Nature’s Wonderland Woodsmen, a show free to enter that exhibits some of the coolest acts from some of the coolest woodsmen.
These acts vary, from specialty ax throwing to log splitting and chainsaw races to log rolling and pole climbing. Guests watching can expect the talented, brave, and comical woodsmen team to provide tons of laughs all the while doing death-defying stunts. A similar show once occurred at Epcot in the Canada pavilion for reference.
Nature’s Wonderland Campsites
Looking to spend the whole day at Nature’s Wonderland or just Downtown Disney and need a space to yourself, we’ll you’re in luck. Disney’s Nature’s Wonderland provides campsites for daily rent, serving much like a poolside cabana rental at many of the resorts.
Guests who purchase campsites are granted a trailer with a fully-stocked mini-fridge with sodas and waters, a fire pit, a grill, and the ability to add on packages such as a beer package or a grill package which supplies beer or different meats like burgers and hot dogs. Or, guests are welcome to bring their own.
A campsite is not, however, for spending the night and all sites are to be vacant by 12 am. Guests renting the sites can spend the full day in them but must be fully packed up and out by closing time.
A campsite for a day costs a total of $600 for a full day and each site can accommodate up to 12 people comfortably, perfect for big parties, family gatherings, or people with a day pass who may need to rest. There are a total of 12 campsites with 2 reserved specifically for those with AP or DVC unless none book for the day when the sites open up to the general public.
For guests not wanting to rent a campsite but still wanting the camp experience, there is a community fire pit right outside of the Adventure Zone building where anyone can pull up a seat, roast a marshmallow or hot dog over the fire, and swap stories. Every night on the hour, the community fire pit also hosts cast member-led scary stories and sing-alongs as well as s’mores free to anyone to stop in and visit!
Campsite Full Day Rental: $600
Beer Package: $50
Grilling Package: $50 (comes with hamburger patties and hot dogs. Veggie burgers may be substituted for no extra cost)
Junior Ranger’s Center
While Disney’s Nature’s Wonderland has many experiences geared to older kids and adults, the issue of younger children came up, and not wanting to leave out the tots, the Junior Ranger’s Center was established. This room serves as a childcare center as well as an exciting playground where kids can participate in many of the older kids' activities as well. Inside the center is a small rock climbing wall, a wooden playground with a children’s version of a ropes course, slides, an indoor swing set, and even axe throwing using foam axes and velcro targets. Guests ages 4-12 are permitted here, split up by age group with 4-6 year olds in the Junior Chipmunk’s Room, 7-9 year olds in the Junior Woodchuck’s Room, and 10-12 year olds welcome into the Wilderness Explorers Room.
Each room is packed to the brim with woodland decorations and paintings of beautiful woodland scenes and the activities within are scaled up and down geared for the ages they are accessible to. Therefore, the Junior Chipmunks room doesn’t feature the rock climbing wall and instead focuses on the playground elements where the more adventurous activities are present in the Wilderness Explorers Room. Each room is also often visited by favorite characters from Disney characters including frequent visits from Lumberjack Mickey, Donald, and Goofy as well as Minnie, Daisy, and Pluto.
In order to best accommodate guests, the Junior Ranger’s Center is free to enter for kids of anyone with passes to the activities within the center. Simply show your pass to the cast members at the service desk, sign your kid in, and let them go into the wonderful world of Disney’s Nature’s Wonderland. All kids will be monitored by cast members and can only be signed out by the parent(s) that signed them in, making sure everyone is safe to have fun without worrying about each other.
Cornhole Courts
Outside near the campsites are cornhole courts, large courts with regulation scale corn hole games. These games are free to play and can be picked up by anyone, so if there is an open game, feel free to hop on in and play the incredibly popular game!
Health and Wellness Experiences
For guests looking to add on to their experience, Disney’s Nature’s Wonderland is home to a few classes and experiences that guests can partake in as well, including a very popular yoga class that picks up every morning in the campsites before they are occupied. There is also an indoor yoga studio for guests who still want to partake in the experience throughout the rest of the day.
Other health and wellness classes are also hosted within the studio so be sure to check the board at the entrance for times for each course. Courses are first come first serve and cost $10/person to enter or can be entered with the All-You-Can-Play day pass as well.
