My interest in plants dates to my first field outing with Bombay Natural History Society in 1972, when I started learning about phenology of monsoon plants. As years have passed I have become more passionate about native flora. Currently, I have more than two hundred species of native plants in my yard. I have planted some locally sourced native plants and some are naturally occurring natives. This biodiversity has led to biodiversity of insects, of which I have recorded more than one thousand species in my yard. I  have also started a small Miyawaki patch and hope to continue to convert the land for the benefit of nature. Here are some plants from yard and some found on travels around the world.
