Carbon dioxide has one carbon atom and two oxygen atoms, and a molecular weight of 44 grams per mole. Hence, carbon dioxide has a higher density, or is heavier than air.
This is why the polluted air rises and goes enters through the bottom of the curtains.
Our product mainly relies on biology as we are using the photosynthetic properties of micro algae to purify contaminated air.
Algae, much like green plants, releases oxygen during the process of photosynthesis. Moreover, it uses carbon dioxide as a nutrient, to produce more algae. As this process takes place, naturally carbon dioxide is extracted and gets replaced by oxygen.
Like plants, algae uses chlorophyll as it's primary pigment
Reduces carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide, and/or sulfur oxide in the polluted air and generates oxygen.
The green algae that we will be using is an example of algae that have primary chloroplasts derived from endosymbiotic cyanobacteria.
