My first job out of college required that I sit on my behind all day long every single day. It took me awhile to realize that this is the reason why I was starting to have some pains there, and itching as well.
I had no idea that sitting on my “tush” all day was the main cause of this. That along with my extreme trouble straining while releasing my bowels became very problematic.
I eventually was in so much pain that I needed to seek some professional help and advice. I never thought that at this young of an age I could get hemorrhoids. (Not going to reveal my real age, but I am NOT 50!)
One piece of advice I was given was to not drink so much cola. I could not believe it. It was kind of hard to give up my daily Pespi routine, too. That was how I managed to make it through the day.
The funny think is I would drink other sodas and the hemorrhoids would not occur. However, I found out later on that I should really cut down on my use of Tabasco sauces and jalapenos! Ooh! Those were burning a hole in me for awhile.
I also then started using an ointment to help ease the severe hemorrhoids pain. But I also did sign up to receive a Venapro spray/capsule combo formula. All of this as well as drinking more water I found to be very helpful.
I started taking warm baths for awhile, too. I also made sure that my anal area was always kept clean. I stopped using harsh soaps while washing this area, too.
Oh, speaking of which…I must admit when my doc said not to wipe myself afterwards with “TP” I was a little bit thrown off. Then she explained to me that the dry toilet paper, no matter how soft, can contribute to external hemorrhoid formation.
So, then I switched to those flushable baby wipes. That works wonders on my healing behind. That and the Venapro and diet changes.
