PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY: The estate was founded in 1528 with the grant of the estates of Samode and Mohana to Rao Gopalji, fourth son of Raja Prithviraj Singhji I of Jaipur, but it was lost soon after and then subsequently regained by the family in 1757. • Rawal SANGRAM SINGH, Rawal of Samode 1906/-, born 22nd October 1900, he succeeded by selection by HH the Maharaja of Jaipur and was granted full administrative powers in 1920; educated at Allahabad University (B.A.); in 1923 he was appointed Honorary Member of the Jaipur State Council in the Revenue Department; Honorary Sigha Member in the Military Department of the Council of State; married 1919, a daughter of the Rawat of Salumber; and had issue.
