PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY: Raja Prithviraj of Amber included the "Sheobramhpota" into the 12 Principal houses of Amber called the Bara Kothri. A Tazimi thikana, it is notable that only three of the twelve Principal houses came from predecesors of Raja Prithvirajji. Nindar was founded by Rao Shivbramh, the fourth son of Raja Udaikaranaji of Amber (Jaipur) 1366/1388, who received 51 villages, including Nindar, as his inheritance. Estate holders were....

He accompanied Raja Man Singh of Amber in an expedition to the east, and killed the Faujdar of Balghata; in a campaign in the Kaimar valley of Afghanistan, he killed Katlu Khan Pathan; and in the south in Berar he distinguished himself in battle earning the hereditary title of Rawat; married and had issue, three sons.

Thakur Kishan Singh, born August 1914, educated at Mayo College, Ajmer; he was adopted by Rao Swaroop Singh (see above), he was a brilliant student and remained Head Monitor there in 1931/1932; he served in the Jaipur Infantry and the Man Singh Guards as a commissioned officer; he left the army and joined the Indian Civil Service in the Excise, Taxation and Customs department in 1949; married Rani Laxmi Kunwar, eldest daughter of Apji Khuman Singh of Dabri in Kotah, and had issue, two sons and one daughter. He died February 1967.

Rawat RAGHUNATH SINGH, 24th Rawat of Nindar 1919/1936, born 1911, educated at Mayo College, Ajmer 1926/1932; he was awarded College colours in Cricket, Hockey and Tennis for his outstanding sporting ability and was at the same time, Captain of those teams; he served in the Royal Sawai Man Singh Guards and was appointed as ADC to HH Maharaja Sawai Sir Man Singhji II of Jaipur in the Royal Jaipur Army; married 1stly, Rawatani Rani Chandra Kunwar of Harasar in Bikaner, married 2ndly, Rawatani Rani Mohan Kunwar of Mayala in Bikaner, and had issue, two sons. He died 1936.

Rao Dr. Hari Singh (by Rani Mohan Kunwar), born 22nd September 1935, educated at Mayo College, Ajmer 1943/1953 and later at Maharaja's College (achieving a Doctor's degree in Homeopathy in 1978); during this period of study he pursued N.C.C. as an extra curriculum activity, in which for two consecutive years he won The Bardhwan Shield for Shooting for the state of Rajasthan and also represented the State in mountaineering expedition under the world famous Tenzing Norgey at Darjeeling; he served as a Professor of radio and electronics at Mayo College, Ajmer and later at the University of Rajasthan in the Department of Physics; in 1971 he started the exclusive showroom of Raymonds company at Jaipur and served as the General Manager; he applied for the Radio Telegraph Station Operators Licence which enabled him to help familys during the Bhuj (Gujrat) earthquakes by radio communication, he was one of India's most active HAM's till his death; married Rani Sahiba Sugan Kunwar, born 19th November 1934, died 26th April 2014, she was educated at Maharani Gayatri Devi Girl's School and at Sanskrit College, earning a Bachelors Degree in Sanskrit, daughter of Col. Thakur Keshri Singh of Kanota, and had issue, one son and one daughter. He died of a heart attack on 27th September 2006.
Rao Harshvardhan Singh, born in September 1959, educated at Saint Xavier's School Jaipur and at Mayo college, Ajmer, then graduated from the University of Rajasthan with a Masters Degree in Business Administration; he worked as the Casting director for various English movies shot at Jaipur; presently engaged in providing accommodation to women for higher education in Jaipur; married Rani Dr. Anju Chandra Kumari, she was educated at Saint Mary's Sophia School, Ajmer as well as in Jodhpur where she served as the head girl, she mastered in English literature from the University of Rajasthan and has currently been awarded a Doctorate in the Department of Arts of Social Sciences by the IIS University for her work on the poetry of Robert Frost; daughter of Thakur Sahab Bhism Chandra Jadonji of Amargadh (Karauli), and has issue.
Baisa Neha Kumari, educated at Maharami Gayatri Devi Girl's School, Jaipur presently (2014) undertaking her Bachelors Degree from the University of Delhi, mastering in World Economics, Jawahar Lal Nehru University in Delhi. She is currently working on her doctoral degree from the same university.
Kanwar Jai Vardhan Singh, born 18th February 1994, educated at Saint Xavier's School, Jaipur and presently (2014) undertaking his Bachelors Degree in Literature from St. Xavier's College, Jaipur.

Rawat SURENDRA SINGH, 25th Rawat of Nindar 1936/1980, born 1930, educated at Mayo College, Ajmer; he joined the Indian Civil Service in the Excise, Taxation and Customs department in 1949, together with his uncle, Rao Kishan Singh, but soon left the service and remained at home; married Rawatani Rani Mahendra Kumari of Budsu, and had issue, five sons and six daughters.
