PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY: Mangrol Chiefship is an administration having plenary jurisdictional powers analagous to those of Second Class states as known in Kathiawar. Its relations with Junagadh of Political Subordination are mediatized by the British government, and as such, Mangrol is styled as a "Mediatized Taluka under Junagadh". Meherban Sheikh Shri HUSSAIN MIAN, 6th Sheikh Sahib of Mangrol 1879/1908, married (as her first husband), Sahibzadi Fakhrunnisa Begum, daughter of HH Al-Haj Nawab Mirza Sir Amiruddin Ahmed Khan Bahadur K.C.I.E., 5th Nawab of Loharu. He died 1908.
Meherban Sheikh Shri MUHAMMAD JEHANGIR MIAN SAHEB, 7th Sheikh Sahib of Mangrol [27.6.1908] - [4.1.1941] (#1), born 1860, Dewan of Mangrol, he abdicated in favour of his son on 4th January 1941; married and had issue, seven sons.

Meherban Sheikh Shri MUHAMMAD NASIRUDDIN MIAN SAHEB, 9th Sheikh Sahib of Mangrol [25.8.1943] - [1947], born 9th August 1916, educated privately till 1930, then at Rajkumar College, Rajkot till 1934; he then went to Dehra Dun and joined Col. Brown's Cambridge School to prepare himself for the Senior Cambridge examination, remaining there till 1936, after which he went to England in 1937; he was accepted by Cambridge University in 1938 and after studying there for one year, the 2nd WW intervened and he was unable to finish the course; he played Cricket for the County of Northamptonshire for two years; installed as Sheikh of Mangrol in October 1943, married 25th April 1940 at Manavadar, daughter of Khan Saheb Shri Fatehuddin Khan Ghazanfar Khan Babi, Nawab Saheb of Manavadar.
