PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY: The Jagir of Jhadol was granted to Rao Bahadur Thakur Roop Singh Panwar, by Kishangarh Princely State. The founder of the family belonged to younger lineage of Bambori. They lived at village Lavera near Nasirabad, Rajasthan. The estate is a major jagir of the Mephawat Panwar clan. The ancestors of the Jhadol family were descendants of Shrinagar State in district Ajmer, which was previously an Istimrari in Ajmer Pargana, and was ruled by the Mephawat clan, a highly respected clan of the Parmar Rajputs of Rajasthan. In the 16th century, the Mephawat Panwar rajputs of Shrinagar migrated to Bambori in Mewar, Jhadol in Kishangarh as well as Bakhatgarh and Bhensola in Malwa. Rao Bahadur Thakur Roop Singh Panwar, 1st Thakur Saheb of Jhadol, the last Dewan of Kishangarh State and the judicial member of the state since 1919, educated at Rajkumar College, Rajkot and at the University of London, married and had issue as well as adoptive issue.
Baisa Darshan Kumari Sahiba, married Thakursa Chandra Pratap Singh 'Nazar' former Jagirdar of Jewar, district Gautambudhnagar, U.P., educated at Mayo College Ajmer and at Aligarh Muslim University (triple M.A. Hindi, English and Urdu), foremost and a famous poet who performed in many foreign countries, they had issue.

Thakursa Ummed Singhji Sa Panwar, 2nd Thakur Saheb of Jhadol -/1970, born 1934 at Onkar Bhawan Jodhpur, he succeeded by adoption, educated at Government S.D. College, Beawar, where he later served as President of Beawar College, and was also President of Beawar Municipal Committee; in 1970, he moved to Datia in Madhya Pradesh and settled down at Govind Niwas Palace, and the succession passed to his younger brother; married 1stly, in 1959, to Thakurani Sahiba Janak Kunwar Ba Sahiba, born 1940, died 1961, daughter of Darbar Shri Surag Wala Bawa Wala Saheb, Chief of Vadia State, Saurashtra, and his wife, Bai Shri Kunwarbaisahib, married 2ndly, in 1964, to Thakurani Sahiba Bundeliji Nirmal Kunwar Ju Raje, died 10th November 2014 at Govind Niwas Palace, Datia, and had issue. He died 10th April 2003.
