PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY: The founder of the family was Kunwar Balbhadra Singh, younger son of Maharaja Prithviraj Singhji of Amber. The house of Achrol was the only Tazimi Thikana in the line, while there were 16 of the khas-chauki category, most of whom hailed from Prempura and Bhandangpura. Baisa Kasumbha Kanwar [Rani Kachhwahiji Kasumbha Kanwar of Amet], married (as his second wife), Rawat Karan Singhji, 1st Rawat Saheb of Amet, and had issue.
Thakur ACHAL DAS, Thakur of Achrol (1561-1590 AD), founder of Achrol - the main seat of the clan; quelled a rebellion in Shekhawati and received the office of Fauj Musahib in recognition of his services, married and had issue. He was killed in the battle of Dhanori.

Thakur MOHAN SINGH, Thakur of Achrol (1598-1614 AD), Fauj Musahib, married and had issue. He died at the battle of Basawa (Jaipur), while his three sons were killed at Rohtas when they accompanied Mirza Raja Man Singh in the campaign.

Thakur KAN SINGH, Thakur of Achrol (1614-1653 AD), Fauj Musahib, had rescued a cow by killing a butcher. Being afraid of imperial displeasure at this he sought refuge with Maharana Jagat Singh who granted him Begum village in Jagir. Though the Balbhadrot noble stood always with the Maharana, through thick and thin, he could not bear the insult when the Maharana was persuaded to fulfil his vow by invading and destroying the Paper fort of Amber, which was adopted as an annual feature by the Maharanas. The gallantry shown by Kan Singh in defending the Paper fort was much appreciated by the Maharana and a decision was taken to discontinue the practice thenceforth. The brave noble died at Kabul in the service of the Mughals where he was posted by Mirza Raja Jai Singh I to establish law and order.

Thakur RAM SINGH, Thakur of Achrol (1762-1785 AD), son of Shiv Singh, rendered distinguished services in the battle of Karkor and was amply rewarded by the prince. His sons also got separate Jagirs from the State for gallantry shown in the above mentioned battle.
Kunwar Kushal Singh (qv)
Thakur KUSHAL SINGH, Thakur of Achrol (1785-1815 AD), he gave a fierce fight to the Jats at several places including Dausa, and laid down his life for the cause of the State in 1815 AD. Achrol nobles were put in charge of forts and even the city of Jaipur.
Thakur KAIM SINGH, Thakur of Achrol fl.1814, a contemporary of Maharaja Jagat Singh, he had also shown conspicuous bravery in a battle fought at Hindaun (1817 AD) against Col. Muhammad Mahtab Khan. He was appointed Chief Magistrate of Jaipur. His sister was married to the noble of Bagore (Mandal-Bhilwara) whose son, Sardar Singh ascended the gaddi of Mewar in the same name.
Thakur RANJIT SINGH, Thakur of Achrol fl.1857, Faujdar, Judge of the Appellate Court, Member of the State Council; during the reign of Maharaja Ram Singh, he was one of the trusted nobles and served the prince in various capacities. The British Government had also honoured him by presenting a Khillat at the Delhi Darbar. He married Thakurani Kishan Kanwar, daughter of Thakur Bhawani Singh of Lambia, and his wife, Thakurani Ratan Kanwar.

Thakur RAGHUNATH SINGH, Thakur of Achrol -/1891, Judge of the Apellate Court, married a Kumbhawat Princess of Amarpura-Jaipur (or a Kanawat Princess of Amargadh-Mewar), sister of Maharaj Himmat Singhji and Thakuranisa of Dobri (mother of Thakuranisa Kesar Kanwar of Jadawata-Jaipur), and had issue. He died 1891.
