In this article the author presents the initial purpose of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and how it is not being honored as intended. This article discusses the opening of logging in the Tongass National Forest in Alaska. It tells the reader how the logging will be done and suggests that it will be done in a respectful manner in order to preserve the forest. The opposing views of those involved in the logging and forestry industries are presented.

In this article it is debated on whether or not renewable energy sources will be able to replace fossil fuels. The authors give examples of what is needed in order for our reliance on fossil fuels to end and then if that is possibile. While both authors seem positive about the possibility, the route to get there is more the debate. One presenter feels that national assistance is needed, however the opposing author says the decisions need to be made and taken care of locally.
