Emily Bryson's visuals
Emily Bryson provided live visual facilitation at this year's Conference, creating large-scale sketchnotes during selected plenary sessions, including the Saturday morning John Hird plenary and potentially the Friday afternoon plenary talk.
Rather than producing finished artwork, this work will capture ideas in real time, offering a visual record of key themes and discussions as they emerge.

Saturday keynote talk- Jon Hird: Bringing Spoken Grammar into the ESOL Classroom
Keynote presentation delivered by Jon Hird: "Bringing Spoken Grammar into the ESOL Classroom," which exolored features of spoken English including idea units, sentence fragments, contractions, and regional variations that students naturally encounter but may not be taught in traditional grammar classes. The session included practical examples and teaching suggestions for incorporating authentic spoken grammar into ESOL instruction, with particular focus on contractions like "what'd you do" and regional dialect features common in different parts of the UK.
