Emily will provide live visual facilitation throughout the conference, creating large-scale sketchnotes during selected plenary sessions, including the Saturday morning John Hird plenary and potentially the Friday afternoon Q&A.
Rather than producing finished artwork, this work will capture ideas in real time, offering a visual record of key themes and discussions as they emerge.
Alongside this, Emily will model sketchnoting as an accessible, low-pressure approach to note-taking, encouraging delegates to explore drawing and visual thinking as tools for engagement and reflection.
Delegates will be invited to take part in a collaborative visual activity by contributing ideas on post-it notes, responding to the prompt “What do you love about ESOL?”. These contributions will be incorporated into a shared sketchnote-style display created during the event.
Throughout the event, we’ll be asking questions about your experience at the conference, your connection with NATECLA and perhaps one or two teaching tips. Whether it's through a short video, a quick interview, or a written quote, we’d love to capture your thoughts to feature in future social media posts. Look out for our NATECLA-branded backdrop or catch us around the venue.
Find our very friendly and no-frills filming team at the NATECLA stand in the Lounge exhibition area.
We love seeing all your conference shares on our social media channel of choice - LinkedIn. Don't forget to use #natecla26 in all of your posts!
