Summary
My passion for athletics, fitness, and helping others has led me to my choice to become a physical educator. I have always known I wanted to stay around athletics and have a fulfilling career as an adult. I was inspired to look into the education field as it can accomplish both of those. A big mentor in my life is a family friend who is a trainer for the Colts; he inspired me to keep fitness and athleitcs in my life and to not chase a job that just gets you by. I initially pursued physical therapy/athletic training because of him, but decided that was not for me and I wanted to have more of a proactive role rather than reactive. I also wanted to work with the younger generation to make an impact from the start. My experiences in athletics and fitness throughout my life and my professional experiences in the kinesiology and physical health field have led me to become a physical educator.
