Selling healthy drinks and donate the profit to charity - 2022 - 2023
Wells Without Wall opened up new learning experience for many students. As for me, the activity I engaged in was for my computer science class where we sold healthy drinks to teachers and students. The planning process didn't went too smoothly but we did pulled it off when the time came. The event itself wasn't a big success either. However, some profits were made and we donated all of them to charities in order to support children without opportunities to learn.

Donation and activities for children at Samakkee Songkro (สามัคคีสงเคราะห์) - 2022
As a member of the Thai Club at Wells International School, I was given the chance to participate in an event at a public school for children lacking opportunities, Samakkee Songkro.

Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
My future career choice at the moment was to become a teacher so managing activities for the children at Samakkee Songkro was a good opportunity for me to experience aspects of this job. I learned that getting children to listen and behave is no easy task, especially for young children. For this reason, I was able to identify my strength in communicating with children in a friendly manner yet I failed to assert control and get them to listen to me, which I considered to be a new area for my personal growth.

From this experience, I learned of the effect poverty has on people and organizations. Compared to my school, Samakkee Songkro was a fairly shabby school. I could observe the lack of opportunities for the children of poor families in Thailand. Samakkee Songkro as an organization is doing god's work by providing accessible education and opportunity to them, yet the school isn't in a good shape either due to the lack of profits. With this, I learned that donations, even the smallest amount meant a lot for this type of organization, for they could continue to support struggling populations who are affected by poverty.
Activities for blind children - 2023
The Wells International School Thai Club also had the opportunity to set up activities at a school for blind children. There were extra activities such as story telling but the main activity which I also partook in was a cooking session where Thai Club Members made Thai dessert called "Bua Loi" for blind students. Working as a group certainly made things smoother for us in term of managing and running the activities to best of our ability. This was the second times I partook in an activity for the Thai Club and planned to continue persevering this engagement into the future.

Canal Cleanup with Terracycle - 2023
I had the chance to participate in a canal cleanup organized by Terracycle as a field trip. The trip was mainly divided into two sections including the education section and the on-field section. For education, we were given lessons about various types of trash, how long each takes to decompose, and the environmental effects they cause. There were also small educational activities such as identifying trash classification to name one. The main part of the trip was, of course, the cleanup, where we boarded the boat prepared by Terracycle and fished out trash from the water. On the way, I observed many locals supporting the team, exchanging greetings, and preparing their trash bags to be taken by Terracycle. This showed me the impact and influence the organization had on the neighborhood and its degree of helpfulness to the people living there. The last activity for the trip included sorting the collected trash, separating plastic waste out for recycling, and such. Although I understand that my one-day effort didn't contribute much in the long run, the most important things to come out of the trip were the lessons we learned about the environment and the added responsibility to raise awareness as well as act for the sake of the environment, for instance, refusing plastic bags, throwing trash into the right bin, and cleaning up other people's trash without expecting anything in return.
