For this project I was tasked with exploring and describing situations where their are cases of privacy issues , threats and etc with using mobile devices or computers and also practicing literacy skills.
After completing this project I learned that their are numerous ways you can be harmed via cyber attack and people are being taken advantage of everyday whether it's someone attacking you without your knowledge or you clicking on a phishing scam sent to your device but it is very important to protect your software and be aware of potential schemes so what happens to people everyday doesn't happen to you.
After reading this article it is to my understanding that playstation fell victim to a global network outage in which the users loss the ability to use their online features for a estimation of 24 hrs. Hackers breached the server in hopes of gaining personal information to use to their advantage against the users to have the upper hand in control. In this case Playstation users privacy was hacked into meaning unauthorized users made it difficult for users to play actively online which then made playstation shut down and re think their security decision's entirely. To prevent this type of incident again playstation could use 2 step verification and or security questions that only the user will know the answer's to.

After reading this article it is to my understanding that 14 North Korean's were accused of allegedly falsifying Identities to receive I.T jobs in the U.S and also rob the government of an estimated 88 million and also affecting employers in the process by extorting those who work at these at these companies by threatening to release sensitive information. The state department in an effort to receive more information on the matter offered a reward up to 5 million dollars for anyone with accurate info to help get to the bottom of the case. The defendants were charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering and identity theft. After this incident to prevent these type of things from happening again the government could proceed to more extensive background checks and having more than one or two ways to identify if someone is who they say they are.
