Environment designed in six weeks in a university module, 2025.
Role: Environment Designer, Narrative Design, Planning
I worked with pre-constructed assets to tell an original story. I combined different asset packs in a visually cohesive and succinct way. Through this, I have become familiar with the process of importing and implementing second-part assets in Unreal Engine.
In this project, I designed the environment to tell a story without dialogue, communicating themes and narrative through the world itself and allowing players / audiences to experience it in their own time.
Worked through the iterative process of planning on paper, greyboxing how audiences / players will move through the space, how framing will work with potential camera shots and viewpoints, and setting up story beats through environmental design.

Environment designed for a current Honours film project with Virtual Production, put together over the course of a month.
Role: Environment Designer
Drift is a current 2025 Honours project for a film student, where I am working exclusively on the Unreal Engine set dressing, level design, and environmental design for the Virtual Production set. This short film follows a man stranded on a space station, completely alone, trying to grow plants in his clinically bright and isolated station as he drifts through space.
Although most of my work has been rooted in more grounded genres, I have interest in and understanding of how the sci-fi genre works in terms of set dressing and environmental design. I also am working closely with the rest of the team to ensure this environment assists in telling the story and elevates the script rather than distracting from it.
As I worked on this project, the interative process was one I found great satisfaction in. Figuring out a design brief and goals for the scene, things that needed to happen and the atmosphere the director wanted to create, and moving through stages of feedback.

Level / Environment designed in 17 hours for the Devs That Jam game jam running from the 30th August to 1st September 2025.
Role: Level Designer, Environment Designer, Narrative
Enthralled is a fast-paced parkour platformer game that myself and three others worked on for the Devs That Jam game jam on the 30th of August. The game jam was 36 hours, but as it was on UK time, we only had about 17 hours to spend on the project, with the other time being spent sleeping. I'm incredibly proud of what we managed to achieve in this timespan, and we have plans to continue polishing it for our portfolios once the judging has commenced.
Our project is published on itch, which I've linked below.
I worked on both environmental design and level design on this project, so I was able to use the environment to direct the player and guide them through the level. There are many things I want to improve on in this project, which I hope to do once the game jam judging has come to an end. Because of how time-sensitive this project was, we didn't realise until an hour before submission that we hadn't had time to thoroughly playtest and find weaknesses.
As this was on such a short time limit, this project involved a lot of communication and teamwork to pull off successfully. I was able to work with the programmers and audio technician to craft this story, and I used my skills in environmental design to work together with the other elements of the game to create something great. I definitely want to return to Enthralled and fix the problems we found.
