Natalie Struwe, PhD

Welcome to my homepage!

I am a Postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Public Finance at the University of Innsbruck.

As an Experimental Economist I focus on environmental and public economics problems. My main research interest is on studying the provision of public goods, social dilemmas and prosociality in general.

Using experimental methods, I study the behavior of individuals and groups in social dilemma situations, which characterize the strategic configuration of many core societal challenges. My research aims to inform policy in the design of effective (behavioral) institutions to promote voluntary collective action essential in transforming our societies into more sustainable ones (as outlined, for example, by the UN Sustainable Development Goals).

In addition, I am pursuing fundamental research questions related to advancing our understanding and measurement of prosociality in the experimental economics discipline.
