DAKOTA WORRELL Scholarship

Dakota Worrell is an established Multi-Family real estate investor. He has improved multiple dilapidated properties for the past few years, creating modern, safe, and affordable housing in Pocatello, Idaho. His generosity allowed our studio to create this scholarship.

If you are a gifted and dedicated student but can not afford the lessons, you can apply here.

Our scholarship program is designed to support students who have already begun their musical journey and demonstrated a strong commitment to learning the piano. Here’s why we focus on students with prior experience:

1. Commitment to Progress: The scholarship requires a full-year commitment from both the student and their family. This commitment involves regular practice, consistent lesson attendance, and active participation in recitals or performances. Students who are new to piano may still be exploring whether this is the right path for them, and it’s hard to predict how things will play out during their first year.

2. Building on a Foundation: Our scholarship is intended to help students who have already built a certain foundational understanding of the piano and are ready to advance their skills. By focusing on students who have some prior experience, we can ensure that the scholarship resources are being used to further develop existing talent and dedication.

3. Ensuring Long-Term Success: We want to set our scholarship recipients up for long-term success. For students who are completely new to piano, it’s important that they first have the chance to explore their interest in the instrument without the added pressure of meeting scholarship expectations.

We encourage students who are new to piano to take lessons, develop their skills, and consider applying for the scholarship in the future once they have a clearer sense of their commitment to learning the instrument.

The scholarship is offered for new incoming students in the amount of $1600, which is allocated towards three semesters (fall, spring, and summer) of weekly 30-minute lessons at Natala Lauk Piano Studio.
