Asia’s largest artillery museum, the Artillery Museum in Deolali Gaon, Nashik, showcases an impressive collection of vintage and modern weaponry including tanks, radar systems, aircraft, and historic artillery. Established by the Regiment of Artillery Association (RAA) and opened to the public in 2005, the museum is curated by Subedar Jitendra Singh (Rtd.) and spans two floors.
Located amidst the scenic Sahyadri foothills, it displays historic pieces like Tipu Sultan’s Rattanban (102-barrel gun), Babur’s brass cannon from 1526, and MIG-23UM, alongside modern Indian Army artillery including T-59 tanks, Sexton guns, and Krishna MK II aircraft.
A light and sound show is held on weekends — from 7:15 pm (summer) and 6:00 pm (winter) — adding a vibrant historical narrative to the experience.
